Meet Dr. Cassandra DeFilippis
Helping People Get Back to Living Their Lives
My journey to becoming a chiropractor began when I was 14 years old after a volleyball shoulder injury. What started as treatment for that injury quickly became something much bigger. During those early visits, I found myself looking at health from a completely different perspective, and that experience ultimately inspired me to pursue a career in chiropractic.
Today, one of my greatest passions is working with student athletes. I want every athlete who walks through my door because of an injury to leave with something more: a better understanding of their body, greater confidence in how it moves, and the knowledge that their body is their greatest teammate. Whether someone wants to get back to the gym, keep up with their kids, return to work more comfortably, or simply enjoy everyday life again, I feel privileged to be part of that process.
Education and Training
Dr. Cassandra DeFilippis earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northeast College of Health Sciences (formerly New York Chiropractic College) in 2024. During her final year of clinical training in Buffalo, New York, she worked with a diverse patient population, including athletes, students, older adults, and individuals from all walks of life, gaining valuable hands-on experience caring for people with a wide range of needs.
She enjoys building genuine relationships with her patients, taking time to explain how their bodies work, and developing personalized treatment plans based on each person’s goals. When new patients meet Dr. DeFilippis, she hopes the first thing they notice is that she truly cares. Every patient should leave feeling heard, supported, and empowered to take an active role in their own health.
A Passion for Athletes, On and Off the Court
Outside the practice, Dr. DeFilippis coaches with Georgetown Impact Volleyball Club, giving back to the sport that has shaped so much of her life. She loves watching young athletes build confidence, develop resilience, and achieve their goals, both on and off the court.
That same passion carries into her practice. She enjoys helping athletes return to activity after injury, improve their movement, and continue participating in the sports they love, while also caring for people who simply want to stay active and keep doing the things that matter most to them. Outside of coaching, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family.
